A poorly tuned compressor will not keep your house cool and cause you undo discomfort.  A few simple tips can help keep your unit running and add years to its service. 1) Keep the area around the unit weed and debris free. Allowing plants to grow up into and around your compressor can shorten its life as vines and grasses clog up the blades and possibly the motor. 2) Keep the Coil clean. A dirty compressor coil can not effectively cool due to the surface cooling area being dirty. A good spray down with water and a mild cleaner will help it cool down. 3) Keep the unit charged. An annual check up will make sure the unit is operating at optimal conditions and has plenty of freon.]]></description>
